In-Home Respite Care

Our In-Home respite care service at Steps is designed for giving parents and caregivers a break while making sure their kids are safely cared for at home. We send a trained caregiver to your house who will look after your kids for a scheduled period. During this time the caregiver from focuses on providing attentive supervision, engaging kids in activities and providing emotional support in a familiar and comfortable environment for the kids. In-Home Respite Care at Supportive Steps is about supporting families by making sure their kids are receiving reliable compassionate care in the comfort of their home.
Community Respite Programs

We at Supportive Steps believe that every kid deserves the opportunity to feel included, valued and connected to their community. This is why our community respite services are designed to support kids by providing safe and meaningful opportunities for exploring and enjoying activities outside the home. Kids can participate in outings which encourage social interaction, confidence building and personal growth. Through our community-based respite care at Supportive Steps we aim to help kids develop friendships discover new interests and enjoy the many programs and facilities available, throughout Edmonton and the surrounding areas.
Personal Care Services
We give kids the kind of care that they really need. Our personal care services are for children of all abilities. We want to make sure they are safe and comfortable. We do this by giving them the attention and support that’s just right for them. Our caregivers are trained to help kids with the things they do every day. This can include helping them get clean get dressed and help them to eat. We also help them move around if they need it. We really try to understand what each child needs and what they like. This way we give children the care that’s best for them and that they will really like.
